Shopper's Paradise


Itaewon is called as 'Shopper's Paradise'. Yes! Itaewon is famous for its shopping fun.
Itaewon's specialities are
leather goods-bags, shoes and jackets.
Many retailers carry leather products of various colors and unique designs.

Most of them export their products to Japan. They have their own factories and you can customize your own leather pieces in the design that you want. The price goes up 30 to 40 % when you have it custom made.

Other specialities are custom's tailor shops, big size clothes and shoes, hip-hop style clothes and antiques. And nowadays saunas, beauty and massage shops targeting especially Japanese tourists open up their business in Itaewon.

So if you want to buy clothes then it's better go to Dongdaemun Market, Namdaemun or Myeongdong. I've seen tourists just got big dissapointment about Itaewon and asked me "Is this all Itaewon?"
For me, it's just fun to hang out and feel the atmosphere. ;-)
