How to operate the recharging/value ticket machine
To recharge
1.FIRST! Put your transportation card on ① spot as the picture shows.▶ If you insert money FIRST then the machine will issue 10,000W value ticket.
Make sure to palce magnetic down, face-up.
2. Insert the bill at ② spot.
Make sure to insert exact money you want to recharge on your card.
If you insert 10,000W this machine will recharge 10,000W.
If you want to charge 3,000 then insert 3,000W.
▶ This machine has no option for changes.
3. Press the button at ③ section. There are 6 buttons.
1,000/2,000/3,000/5,000/10,000/20,000
To buy a value ticket
1. Insert money at ② spot.There are three different value tickets.(5,000W, 10,000W and 20,000W)
Make sure to insert exactly 5,000W, 10,000W or 20,000W
Because this machine returns no changes.
2. Select the button(5,000W, 10,000W and 20,000W) at ③ spot.
3. The value ticket will be dropped at ⑤ spot.
▶ You will get back your money if you push the cancel button at ④ spot.
▶ This machine is the first one from the left in Itaewon subway station.

How to operate a regular ticket machine
2. Press the number of tickets you want to buy at ② section.
3. Press the fare of your destination at ③ section.
Usually the fare is 700W around Seoul area.
Check out the fare on the map posted on the machine.
▶ To buy a ticket for child then press the third button
with a yellow background color at the ① section.
The first button with a yellow background color means "Regular ticket".
▶ All the machines except the left one are 'all-destination-ticket' machines.
